Position Summary: We are seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Scheduler with at least two years of experience specifically in surgery scheduling within a busy clinic environment. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in coordinating surgeries, handling complex schedules, and working with hospitals and authorization departments to ensure smooth operations. This role will be critical in managing a high-volume schedule for a busy Cardiology/Outpatient Surgery clinic, with a focus on surgical procedures and ensuring timely coordination across various departments. If you have primarily been involved in regular scheduling rather than surgery scheduling, please note that this position requires experience specifically in surgery scheduling, especially in fast-paced environments. What You’ll Do:

• Manage Surgery Schedules: Coordinate and schedule surgeries and procedures, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
• Multitask with Precision: Handle various scheduling duties while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Documentation and Communication: Ensure all patient information is accurately recorded, and communicate scheduling details effectively with medical teams and patients.
• Coordinate with Multiple Departments: Work closely with surgeons, medical assistants, hospitals, and authorization teams to streamline surgical schedules.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: At least two years of surgery scheduling experience, particularly in a busy clinic setting. Experience coordinating with hospitals and handling authorizations is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex scheduling systems while working under pressure.
• eClinicalWorks Experience: While not required, experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferably with a medical background).
• Certification: Medical Assistant certification (CMA) is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Work in a fast-paced medical office setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare professionals.
• Physical Demands: Occasional standing and sitting, and strong organizational skills.
