Job Description

The Facilities and Quality Control Inspector is a vital role to our organization and will help support the day-to-day operations of the Quality Control Division. Job Title: Facilities and Quality Control Inspector

Department: Quality Control & Inspections

Divisional Unit: Development Services

Reports to: Quality Control & Inspections Manager

Salary Band: $60,000-$68,000

Full-Time: X Exempt: X

Part-Time: Nonexempt:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate bids with homeowners, contractors, and developers.
  • Prepare scopes of work and work write-ups, review work in place during construction and perform stage and final inspections.
  • Provide guidance to other quality control advisors and assure the smooth flow of necessary documentation.
  • Inspect construction specifications utilizing Housing Developer Pro Software.
  • Work with the Authority and other department staff to ensure that the contractor's scope of work, estimates, and bids are financially feasible.
  • Oversee the construction aspects of a project from development of specifications to completion.
  • Authorize payments to contractors and developers.
  • Perform final and stage inspections.
  • Evaluate security measures of all facilities and infrastructure.
  • Review bids for maintenance and repairs to facilities and infrastructure.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance if necessary to facilities and infrastructure.
  • Review and inspect contracted work to facilities and infrastructure.
  • Responds to after hour facilities and infrastructure emergencies as requested.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a similar or related position
  • Valid PA Driver's License and a registered, insured personal vehicle.

  • Another combination of education, experience, knowledge and abilities demonstrating the qualifications necessary to perform the duties of this position would also be considered.'

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA
