About Global Financial Crimes

In Global Financial Crimes (GFC), you will play a critical role in identifying potentially suspicious activity, protecting vulnerable individuals, and safeguarding the integrity of the financial system. GFC coordinates day-to-day implementation of the Firm's financial crime prevention efforts. Including governance, oversight and execution of the Firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Corruption and Government and Political Activities Compliance programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As an experienced Testing Vice President in GFC, you will:

  • Work closely with the GFC Testing team members, business unit and applicable GFC teams to plan and execute testing on financial crime-related processes performed by first and second lines of defense, as well as at third-party vendors
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and execution of risk-based compliance testing to review and assess the design adequacy and operational effectiveness of the Firm's financial crimes procedures, processes and controls.
  • Help test scope and design specific testing steps for each applicable test in the annual plan.
  • Execute all phases of a test and guide and review work product completed by team members
  • Communicate test results, present identified issues to the business, operations and GFC management, and work with the business and other stakeholders to develop corrective action plans to remediate findings, where applicable
  • Prepare and coordinate drafting of formal test reports based on test results
  • Track status of corrective action plans
  • Maintain detailed and organized documentation of work products, as required by applicable policies and procedures
  • Communicate and coordinate with other professionals in the organization, including GFC advisory teams, other Compliance Monitoring and Testing Groups and Internal Audit
  • Remain current on industry rules, regulations and best practices to help ensure that the testing program meets regulatory standards

Qualifications

What We're Looking for in You

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in a financial institution, regulatory authority, consulting firm or equivalent, demonstrating experience in financial crimes and audit/assurance/compliance testing.
  • Have a degree from an accredited university degree or equivalent and demonstrate strong academic credentials
  • Previous demonstrable experience of managing and developing junior staff
  • Knowledge of what constitutes an effective Compliance Framework and best practice
  • Understanding of financial crimes requirements and framework
  • Understanding of the audit and testing processes and approaches
  • Should be familiar with the risk and control framework at a financial institutions
  • Should exhibit comfort working with technology and the ability to learn and display proficiency on technical systems and programs.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Developed investigative skills: inquiry and analysis, interviewing, testing and organization
  • Effective communication skills: able to describe complex issues accurately and succinctly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire information
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple tests with different individuals at the same time
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with the skills to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues of all levels of seniority across regions and business units; able to question and challenge established processes
  • Certification as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist by ACAMS or equivalent certification/license - or certification within first 15 months of employment
  • Professional Certifications (not required, but one or more desired):
  • CPA or IIA qualified, or local equivalent
  • ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Where You'll be Working

This role will be based in Baltimore and requires in office attendance 3 days/week. Two of those days will be Anchor Days where you will be in the office with your teammates to learn, grow, and collaborate in person.

The Baltimore office is the Firm's largest U.S. office outside of New York, with approximately 2,000 employees representing most of the Firm's Divisions.

Salary range for the position: $105,000 - $170,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
