About Us:

Jagalchi is a premier 75,000-square-foot Korean food complex located in Daly City's Serramonte Center. Opened on March 28, 2025, our facility offers a diverse range of culinary experiences, including a grocery store, a 160-seat restaurant named Pogu led by Michelin-starred chef Tony Yoo, two bars, a butcher, a fishmonger, and Basquia Bakery, which specializes in rice flour baked goods. We are dedicated to delivering authentic Korean cuisine and products to our community.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Jagalchi. The ideal candidate will support various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, record maintenance, and compliance with labor laws. This role is integral to ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation sessions, ensuring a seamless integration into the company.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures, directing them to appropriate resources as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations by assisting in policy formulation and communicating updates to employees.
  • Payroll Assistance: Collect and process employee attendance and leave records to assist with payroll duties.
  • Training Coordination: Organize and schedule training sessions for employees, maintaining records of participation and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an HR support role is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations is a plus.
