Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and customer service with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Title: Facility Maintenance

Pay - Rate: $24.50/hr

Shift: 9:00am - 6:00pm; Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility, including all common areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all occupants.
  • Conduct detailed inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs, promptly addressing any deficiencies or areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute facility enhancement projects, ensuring that the environment remains pristine and conducive to customer satisfaction.
  • Perform a range of general office maintenance and light repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks, ensuring facilities are fully operational and well-maintained.
  • Undertake carpentry duties, such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture, ensuring they are functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to maintain a fresh, polished appearance throughout the facility.
  • Install appliances, fixtures, and equipment as necessary, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to facility standards.
  • Assemble and install furniture and other essential items, contributing to an efficient, well-equipped environment.

Customer Service

  • Foster a customer-first mentality within the porter team, underscoring the importance of exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Ensure that all customer and guest interactions are professional, courteous, and responsive to their needs, creating an environment of hospitality and trust.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for customer inquiries and complaints, resolving concerns with empathy, professionalism, and effective problem-solving.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other essential materials, ensuring operational efficiency and readiness.
  • Exercise sound inventory control practices, making timely orders for replenishment while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Continuously evaluate inventory processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and ensuring the efficient use of resources.

Safety Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring the health and safety of employees, customers, and visitors at all times.
  • Perform routine safety inspections to identify potential hazards and take immediate corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to implement ongoing safety improvements and foster a culture of safety awareness.

Reporting

  • Prepare thorough and insightful reports on facility maintenance, porter team performance, and customer feedback, providing management with a comprehensive view of operations.
  • Present data in a clear, concise, and professional manner, offering actionable recommendations for improving facility management and service delivery.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions, optimizing operational efficiencies and elevating service quality.

Training & Development

  • Engage in continuous training, including utilizing platforms such as Cornerstone, to stay up to date with best practices and enhance job proficiency.
  • Identify skill gaps within the porter team and design tailored training programs to elevate their capabilities and performance.
  • Lead regular training sessions focused on cleaning techniques, equipment operation, customer service excellence, and professional conduct.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, empowering team members to grow and consistently deliver exceptional service.

Professionalism

  • Represent the facility with the utmost professionalism at all times, maintaining a polished demeanor and effective communication skills.
  • Be a role model for the team in terms of presentation, conduct, and performance, ensuring that high-end client expectations are consistently met.
