About the Role:
As a CBRE Union Engineer, you will be a part of a team responsible for a site’s equipment maintenance and instrument calibration processes.
Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
As a Graveyard engineer you will be responsible to start/stop and safely operate the Cogeneration and Cooling Systems to ensure that all client comforts are met upon client arrival.
Prime duty is to ensure that all client server/critical areas are provided with sufficient cooling 24/7.
What You’ll Do:
· Perform general maintenance and operations of the HVAC equipment under the supervision and direction of the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer and Lead Engineer.
· Monitor systems for potential problems (or existing problems) and formulate a solution(s) to be presented to the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer and Lead Engineer for appropriate action.
· Make repairs, adjustments and changes to HVAC and related equipment to maintain established comfort zones.
· Perform all lighting repair or replacement needs.
· Plumbing service, repair, and maintenance. Experience in restroom, and kitchen fixtures, drain cleaning, soldering, and brazing.
· Complete nightly meter readings to verify proper utility consumptions and accurate billing.
· Rigging and hoisting heavy equipment parts with various property provided equipment.
· Operate watch shift independently, as necessary.
· Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
· Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
· Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
· Operation of building emergency systems (i.e. emergency generator, fire pumps, fire command center, etc.).
· Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with contractors.
· Assist with Tenant Improvement oversight.
· Sprinkler filling, draining and hot work.
· Assist the crew in providing prompt and courteous service to the tenants through the Angus Anywhere Work Order system.
· Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of all mechanical areas.
· Work within broad guidelines and policies.
· Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
· High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
· E.P.A. #608 Universal Technician Certification.
· Union Certification B.O.M.A., preferred but not required.
· Must be able to work consistently on time as scheduled on site.
· Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
· Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
· Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
· In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
· Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is $109,304 annually. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: Dental insurance & Health insurance,
