Position Description:
We are seeking an Operations Senior Associate to join our team and contribute to the growth and professionalization of our portfolio companies. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the private equity industry and play a pivotal role in the success of our firm.
Major Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive action plan to optimize the performance of our portfolio companies, collaborating closely with general managers and senior leaders in sales, marketing, and finance.
- Support portfolio companies in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Work with the Investment Team to evaluate and monitor strategic plans aligned with our investment thesis.
- Identify and advise on process improvements and strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Analyze benchmarks and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.
- Spend time on-site at portfolio companies to develop tailored growth and optimization strategies, including multi-year plans and annual budgets.
- Collaborate with vendors and utilize consulting resources for periodic sprints or efforts at portfolio companies.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual investor reports and other ad-hoc reports and analyses.
Skills/Characteristics:
- Proficiency in implementing operational systems to drive financial, sales, and operational strategy.
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and capital structures, with the ability to create comprehensive financial models.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interact comfortably with senior management, often independently.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Strong academic credentials and achievement.
- 5+ years of experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or in an industrials-related operations or leadership role.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership across various tasks.
Preferred:
- Experience in vendor or supply chain optimization and management.
- Experience in sales & marketing or digital advertising strategies.
- Experience working in Industrial Manufacturing settings.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Comfort with periodic travel to portfolio company locations.
